Born and raised in Greenwich Village in New York City, Lyn began her working life in the Alaskan bush teaching in a boarding school for Yup'ik Eskimos. Lyn went on to earn a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Seattle University. “For more than twenty-five years, I’ve been involved in ritual and liturgy in various aspects of my life—as a wedding officiant, as a hospital and hospice chaplain, and as a grief counselor and educator.”

The most recent chapter in Lyn’s story is her work as a public and community relations director, where she planted seeds of good relationships between her agency and people throughout the healthcare and media communities.

Says Lyn, "In all these work experiences, my appreciation for different lifestyles and cultures has steadily broadened and deepened."

Lyn feels she has special insight into marriage from her own personal experience. "I married for the first time at mid-life and understand the transition from single to married life.

"Since being married I find that I bring a new richness and understanding to those entering this new phase of their lives. My husband, Brian, keeps me balanced and grounded. As a formerly active Catholic priest he understands the importance of this work and is also available for assistance in planning or co-officiating."
